The Headley with Ashford Hill Community Shop is run by a happy band of local volunteers who serve customers, stack shelves, clean the premises, stock-take and deliver newspapers.

We are always ready to welcome new volunteers so if you have a few hours spare each week and would like to help, please call in at the shop and chat to a member of the team.

Give a gift to someone in need this Christmas

The shop is now a collection point for The Hygiene Bank

Give the gift of dignity this Christmas, by filling a bag with hygiene products and toiletries for someone in need.

Its simple - find a bag you no longer use (handbag, cosmetic bag, washbag etc). Decide if your gift is for a man or a woman. Put in products for someone's personal care - toothbrush, hairbrush, toiletries. I’m sure you have unwanted gifts hidden in drawers that someone else could use.

This is a bit like the food banks model, but for personal care and hygiene.

Drop off your gift at the shop - it’s your local drop-off point for The Hygiene Bank.
