Privacy Policy

We understand that privacy and the security of your personal information is extremely important. This policy sets out what we do with your information and what we do to keep it secure.

We hold information that you provide to us such as your name, address, telephone number and email address. We use this information solely to manage your paper account or to communicate with you as a shareholder, as relevant. Information to manage your paper account is held securely in the shop in a password protected file accessible only by shop staff and volunteers. Information on our shareholders is kept securely by our Secretary.

We do not share information on the paper accounts with any third party. Information on our shareholders is required to be shared with our accountants under the money laundering regulations. Our accountants keep all their client details securely and do not share them with anyone else.

We keep your paper account information for as long as you have an account with us. When you close your account, we archive the information that we hold for six years as required by law. Information on you as a shareholder is deleted when you resign as a shareholder or when reasonable enquiries indicate that you no longer wish to be a shareholder: for example not giving a forwarding address when moving out of the area.

You have the right to access the information that we hold about you. If any of the personal information that we hold about you is inaccurate or out of date, you may ask us to correct it. If you wish to exercise these rights please contact us.
