Headley with Ashford Hill Community Shop is run by the community for the local community, The Association is based on a 'not for profit' basis. The community took over the existing shop in 2008 and moved to The Old Baptist Chapel in Thornford Road in 2011. The Association is a tenant of the Greenham Trust.
The Shop and Post Office is run by a management committee and employs six staff. Volunteers assist in the shop and with newspaper deliveries at weekends and bank holidays.
New volunteers are always welcomed. Just call in at the shop and chat to a member of the team. More details at Get Involved.
The shop is at the heart of the community and a friendly place to be and work. Our ethos is to provide a service to the community. Our supervisors frequently accept orders over the phone, particularly from the more vulnerable members of the community. We offer a free delivery service within a four mile radius of the shop for orders over £20. See Services for more information.
